On exhibition - Eurobodalla 2030 draft
Community Strategic Plan
The blueprint for a better, more resilient Eurobodalla which
builds on our Shire's strengths and sets its direction for the
future is now back on public exhibition.
With its vision of a friendly, responsible, thriving and proud
Shire, the draft
eurobodalla2030 Community Strategic Plan is now available
online and at our libraries, with Council seeking comment until
Monday 12 December 2011.
"The Community Strategic Plan commits the community, the Council
and other responsible groups to improved wellbeing, a stronger
local economy and healthy natural and built environments, and
responsible leadership," said the Mayor, Fergus Thomson.
The draft represents the voice of the more than 2,000 people who
took part in the Eurobodalla 2030 engagement process over the last
15 months and also considers the 66 submissions made during its
last exhibition in July and August.
Clr Thomson says there have been improvements made to two of the
nine long term objectives and 21 of the 29 strategies. "The plan's
indicators and measures of success have also been updated following
discussions with relevant State and Federal Government agencies,"
he said.
Endorsed by the Community Reference Group, the draft Plan
outlines:
- the community's shared vision for a friendly, responsible, thriving and
proud shire
- four strategic focus areas
- nine long term objectives to be achieved by the year 2030
- 29 strategies and partnerships to fulfil these objectives.
The Eurobodalla 2030 draft Community Strategic Plan can be
viewed online at www.eurobodalla2030.com.au
or at Council's administration building in Moruya.
Submissions to the draft plan closed at 4.30pm, Monday
12 December 2011.
